we used to be able to get **** done.  We used to have people to count on if someone called in sick - we were able to replace them.  Used to get overtime if necessary.  Nowadays nothing's getting done.  Everybody is behind.  Store looks like ****.  Everyone has 40 hours so no way to replace anyone if they call in sick.  They'd rather the person came in with a high fever and risk giving their bug to everyone else.  That's a great idea!  No overtime (well how the hell is **** supposed to get done?).  Do they expect customers to condition the aisles while they shop?  "you want a nice looking store:  only take cans from the back of the shelf."

I thought we were supposed to be putting the customer FIRST.  How does a poorly stocked, unconditioned store, with nobody to bag groceries, poor quality bags,  no workers around because hours are **** equal putting the customer first?

I used to love my store and people in it. Not any more. I still love my job though and my customers.

I realized that management doesn't care about customers or us. They just keep saying how everything needs to be perfect for customers, while they are cutting hours. Not only that, but actually taking hours that department had earned. When we are called to help customers in another department, our department and our customers suffer. When we ask for time to make up for time spent in another department, it's rarely given, and never in same amount. And we have to help, because everybody is understaffed and they don't give us enough hours to cover the whole time when we are opened. It's scary and it's getting worse.

grocery (among others) helps the front end, front end (occasionally) helps other depts (by conditioning here and there), other depts stop and help for a minute, it's all about taking from here and putting it there in hopes that it'll come back around to you.  The real problem here (aside from the lack of hours) is that one ******* on the front end who spends all day in the ****ter, forcing the need to call someone from another dept to come help.  Where is that bastard!?
