Where I work the most obnoxious customers are the ones who buy cigarettes. Annoying attitudes to go with a disgusting habit. I wish Kroger would stop selling cigarettes.

But yeah reusable bag customers suck, especially when they bring the bags to the express lanes

the reusable bags are just a pain in the ass. the baggers are in the rhythm of quickly bagging things in plastic, so when they see those felt bags plopped down on the conveyor, it interrupts their mojo! "oh, keep my cold stuff together!" (understandable, as it's quick and convenient to load them in the freezer/fridge) "why did you wrap my meat in plastic and THEN put it in my bag?!" (uhhhh, so the meat doesn't leak all over your food, rendering it an ungodly health hazard?) "make sure not to smash my bread!!!" (yeah, because i don't know how to pack a grocery bag.....i'm only getting paid to do it lady!) I get that using plastic is so bad for the environment yadda yadda yadda, but can you stop being so self righteous about something that doesn't warrant any kind of pride? or at least get bags that don't smell like an old man's a$$!

Ive had customers move baggers 'out of the way' so they can 'do it right.'

It's terrible when they bring in bags that have pet hair and built up dirt inside of them.

Does it really hurt to wash those ****ing things?

I have to agree with one of the posters here who mentioned how obnoxious many of the cigarette buyers are. I SO wish that Kroger would completely quit selling cigarettes! Of course, at our store (all Kroger stores??) they are only available behind the counter at the front customer service area, so the customer service workers have to wait on a long line of nicotine addicts that, in some cases, make up the majority of the people standing in line .

And just to make it clear....... I am a former smoker so I do sympathize with how addicting they are. But, really, people!  Think about all the things you could afford to buy if you didn't spend those hundreds (or more likely thousands) of dollars every year to help yourself be sick, have gross, wrinkly skin, and stink like a dirty ashtray.

I hate this scenario...........I'm working in my area, and someone will walk by, and without even looking around, I can smell that overpowering sickening "stale cigarette" smell, like their clothes has been stored in a closed-up smoky barroom for a week,  sometimes mixed in with a hint of BO  or  alcohol (from the night before, seeping through their skin pores) .

Has anyone noticed that, in many cases, you can ID a longtime smoker if they are over 45 or so, just by a quick look at their face? After awhile many of the women start getting that "smokers face" and they all begin to look like they are related! I am serious........... something about the deep lines in the face and around the mouth and eyes,(deeper than nonsmokers of the same age),  the sickly pasty or "gray" look of the face, the dry, unhealthy looking skin and hair..........they begin to look like they are family members.

I wish they would realize that no amount of makeup or face cream is going to do any real good since it is completely CANCELED OUT by their smoking.  Just like some Meth users.......you can see it changing the way their faces look........ skinny, bony faces with, after a while, missing teeth, sores, etc.

I'm sorry if this offends anyone, I just sincerely hope someone will be motivated to quit.

Had one reusable bag I was working with as a cc, and the d@mn thing stood on its own and asked how my day was going as I was putting items inside. The smell was horrendous. I'm surprised the food didn't jump right back out.

Using reusable bags is virtue signaling, nothing more. People who use them are special because they CARE so damn much, and the rest of us should be grateful and accommodating because they're better we are.
