Little Secrets (song title) by Passion Pit (name of artist/group).   I hate this kind of music (the voices start sounding alike.......Britney Spears, Beiber, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, etc,  using AUTO-TUNE computer "enhancement" makes every singer sound like tinny, shrill, screaming hyenas). Impossible to know if the singer really has any true singing talent with their voice fed through a computer system to sound  almost inhuman.

I did not already know the name of this song or the artist, until I did a quick search,  but here is a simple "secret' trick to find out the names of songs you hear on Kroger or any other venue.  If you can make out a full line of lyrics (at least 8 or 10 or more words in a row), type them in GOOGLE SEARCH along with the word "LYRICS" and there is a good chance it will come up in the search results.

That said, one of my main beefs with so much modern rock-era music, besides the chaotic, dissonant, screeching, over-bearing, unnecessarily loud background instrumental tracks,  is that the lyrics are almost indecipherable. Especially with a poor sound system (our store is abysmal, sounding like someone has a transistor radio is being held to the speakers of a cheap stereo system that's 30 years old) it is almost impossible to understand what is being sung.

On top of that, most rock acts INTENTIONALLY sing their crappy songs in such a way that it is VERY hard to make out the lyrics to the song. (Not that you would really want to hear some of their terrible, meaningless poetry).  Which is why so many songs have "misheard lyrics" (there are webpages making fun of this phenomenon).

OP, are you 100% sure of the EXACT words in that line?  I have SO MUCH TROUBLE trying to understand even a short line of lyrics on many songs.

If so, what genre of music would you say it is........., alternative, dance, rock, 90s pop, country, new.. within the past 2 or 3 years??,

if you are totally sure of the words, make sure you put "quotation marks"  around them (that eliminates alot of wrong hits) and then run that query on google. and see what shows up. If you identify it, post again with the right song!
