They got some panel sitting in corporate (people who have never worked in a grocery store probably) coming up with bogus ideas on how to streamline ****, when all it does it take more time and cost more money for training. I'm paid to put **** on the shelf, not to write stuff on clipboards, fill out paperwork, etc. They need to gut the company near the top. There are plenty of positions where people aren't real productive. Oddly enough those are the higher paying positions. Give them some key retailing and see how long it lasts: "gee I'm sorry Pam, you're going to have to move your desk down to the basement, that's where the sign says it's supposed to be" "did you fill out the paperwork telling you how many hours you have to sit on your ass today?"
That's why they offered those buy outs. Also why there are a lot more store walks now. The people above people who think their **** doesn't stink and walk the stores and critique us on every little thing have their necks on the line too. That's why they're being forced to do "work" now, even if it's some easy **** like walking every store and checking a check list. I hope all of them get fired. In my district they are complete smug *******s. **** them.
