People who work in fully and well staffed produce departments say that because they don't have to do much work because all the work will be divided and slackers will get backpacked. In a short staffed, busy produce department, it is a lot of work and a lot to learn.
Prep and questions about the dumbest **** imaginable are top of the list. We got a guy that kills himself aceing out everything only for the night people to come in and play on their phones all nite. I'm sure some places work the other way around too.
