I saw earlier today that we finally have our vacation schedule set up, in my store's break room. And I remember vaguely(as it was like over 3 weeks ago or something like that, when I first even talked to one of the back up assist peeps about getting my week scheduled), that she said for vacations they start on a Sunday. Now does that mean it will run from one Sunday to the next? Or will it end the Saturday of that week?
She never told me and with the way everyone has been scheduled to leave super early these last few weeks. Any time I've gotten a spare moment to talk to her or the DH(Dept. Head) about it. They are both gone for the day. Or when I'm scheduled, they aren't available do to meetings and so forth.
So if anybody could help me out, I'd appreciate it.
Vacations are paid from Sunday till the following Saturday. The only time that differs is when you have 10 years service and qualify for a 3rd week of vacation. Then you can take 1 week in days. Meaning you could take a vacation from a Tuesday till the following Monday. Or even just take the 7 days a personal days throughout the year.

Huh, good to know. Was curious how the personal days thing worked. Thanks for this information also.

If you split a vacation week into days, it's only five days. The other two days are simply off days. It's just like a regular work week (5 days x 8 hours a day= 40 hours). Of course if you're part time then your vacation pay will be for fewer hours but you get the idea. In other words, don't split up a vacation and think you're going to be paid for seven days.
