The future of what? Where you'll be the most happy?  Where you'll make the most money? Where you'll have the greatest opportunity for advancement?

Department of Health.

Definition of insanity: "Doing the same thing exactly the same and expecting different results each time."

If you are the poster that keeps asking "Which Department?" for the last 3 months, the you might have a future in the mental health field.

Otherwise, remain a CC.

You can advance in any department if you're good at it, stick around long enough, and want to move up in the company. There is no point in asking between 2 departments every week. First if you're a CC you need one of the departments to want you to work there, then give it a shot.

If you like front end, you can stay there and work your way towards being a CSM....

To the poster who thought this might be the same person who is asking over and over again, which department is "best' to work in..................... it occurred to me also that it might be the same person, but on second thought, hey, Kroger currently employs about 440,000 people, and if only one out of every thousand employees came on this site and asked this (a very common, sensible and logical question that most any new employee will likely be asking very soon, if not before they even start working) you would have 450 threads!!!!  So please give them a break........... I don't blame them for asking.

My answer: None.  Every dept has its pros and it's cons.  Mostly cons.  If I had any sense I would be applying at Costco or Hobby Lobby. Check their average pay rates online.
