I feel bad for our new employee!

Our new employee has step into a department full of judgement and people who want to take charge. We only have one Lead and others are claiming to be that Lead. S/he isn't going to be trained properly by people who don't do their job right or at all. S/he is either a little slow or very nervous and others are laughing at her/him behind her/his back. It is SAD! S/he needs o be trained by people who are going to take the time to learn how well s/he works and how fast s/he learns. I'm not going to be able to get this off my mind, at all.

 So why don't you train the new employee? You see the whole problem and know the solution and yet refuse to step up? That is odd.

I worked with the new employee the first day s/he worked, it was only for a couple hours. I worked with him/her for an hour today, then I had to clock out and go home. If they want me to train her/him they need to schedule me with him/her for a whole shift. I'd be glad to train her/him.

 Have you told "them" you would like to help train the new employee? Or are you quietly making up excuses to watch them fail so you can continue gossiping about that person with all the rest of the crew? You seem insincere.

That's funny coming from an HR, when an HR has specifically told me not to say their name or their sex when talking about someone (at work). That is considered talking bad about them and that we aren't allowed to do.

And No I haven't told anyone I would train the person, but I will today. I don't want to see anyone fail!! It makes me happy to see everyone succeed. Only those who have their own insecurities, want to see others fail. That's not me!!

 That didn't sound "insincere" to me at all, it sounds like they work in a bigger department like deli or bakery or produce where they didn't get the chance to see them enough to train them....

 You're not at work here.  Using a masculine or feminine pronoun in a post isn't going to give anything away as to the identity of the person you are talking about.  You could even mention their age and what department they work in and no one here would have a clue as to who it is.  As long as you don't identify yourself,  the store you work at, or anybody by name. then you can be assured that no one here is going to know who s/he is.

You are right, 4hourrush. I do work in a bigger department. Too many people needed, but not enough hours to give them.

 I had the same issue sot of in my current store when I first started...and every single one of them had a differing opinion on how to do the job correctly.  Eventually I called them out on that and them talking about me behind my back.  They shut up soon after.
