Entering new products into the gun
Permalink

I talked to several customers and couldn't help them because we didn't have a specific brand  product. Is there a way to order product through the gun? An example would be AtlantaFresh brand buttermilk.

If you got the UPC and if it's actually carried. Enter UPC via  CAO -> Inventory Management -> ISO Order (I believe)

We can only order it if our warehouse carries it. Keep something in mind too, if you have no space on the shelf to allocate for it(if everything is already only 1 facing), you will have no way of carrying the product for the customer. You can ask them if you'd like for us to order a case for them to buy, but then explain that there isn't space on the shelf to carry it all the time as we are not allowed to remove products that are in the set. The first question I always ask my customer is if they've bought it at another Kroger. If not, I ask for a UPC, if they do not have it, I google it. In ISP on the computer you can go to the POG/Schematics section and manually enter in the UPC and hit F2 to authorize. If there is an open order, it won't automatically add it in, so you'll either need to wait for refresh(only good if order maker doesn't close the order) or add it manually. There, it will be authorized for your store to order for 30 days. If it's a product you want to continually carry, you will need to go through this process every month as there's no way to permanently authorize an item without it being in the set.
