My worst nightmare came true today!

I haven't had a seizure since last September. I've been able to control them pretty well.  I had one today, at work. I got to work and 3 people start barking orders at me, talking over each other. Then bakery comes over and tells me about an order that was messed up. I'm trying to zone them all out so that I can do what I started doing and just lost my train of thought. Then start doing dishes and my head starts feeling weird and hearing everything around me. I knew I was about to have one. I did everything I normally do to control them and I just couldn't. I went to the bathroom and the next thing I know I'm back in the Deli. I have no clue what happened in between there. The type of seizures I have no one would even know I was having one unless they knew me well. I go blank, slur my words, and if someone gets in my way I get mad/angry. They are normally controllable because I get warning signs before I'm going to have one. After coming out of it, I was unable to think properly the rest of the night. I just kept screwing everything up. I just hope I didn't get hateful with anyone or make a fool of myself while I was in my seizure. I work my ass off at work and it feels like a waste of time. All the people I work with are so unappreciative. The 3 people barking orders at me are not even my bosses, but they sure like to act like they are. I don't know what o do. I feel like I'm giving up.

Don't take this the wrong way.....but I think it's time to re-evaluate career choices. Cause no way in the world a job should ride you so hard it causes you medical issues like that. I'm glad you made it through the seizure to the other side. But whose to say you were to get another one and it would be MUCH more serious and you are around the Chicken shop area or something? Could really burn yourself or someone else in the process. And that would definitely not be good.

Bakerchick. No it is pressure that causes them and when I have 3 people in my ear, that aren't even my bosses barking orders at me all at once that puts the pressure on. Those 3 people need to stop worrying about telling me what to do and worry about doing their own work. Nothing is going to stop me. Especially if they are really thinking about moving me up. Thanks any way!

get a note from your doctor stating the condition you have that causes seizures. the company i believe has to obey protections in place for disabled people; which, if you're like me you're not receiving a disability payment from the state, but i still think for your job it keeps you from appearing to be lazy or something. and if someone tries to dominate you in the workplace, you can ignore them. even a 'boss' has higher ups

tell your co-workers to ****off.  Seriously!!!!!  You already have your dept manager telling you what to do and the co-managers and maybe even the story manager as well as kissing the customers asses all day.  you don't need your co-workers spilling on you also.  Take it from me, it works!!!!!

Wow yeah that sounds a little scary...

But i've found out that it doesn't matter how hard you work, someone's always going to have a complaint. it's not worth getting sick over.
