You mean walmart. Walmart sells more stuff like amazon does. Kroger sell groceries and I don't know may people who even know what Whole Foods is so I think kroger will be fine.
Amazon's goal is to redefine how people shop - both online and in stores - and make shopping cheaper and easier for customers. Amazon's endgame here is to have a distribution network in place across the majority of the U.S. where you can order anything - including fresh groceries that includes produce, meat and frozen items - and have it delivered to your home the same day you place an order. On top of that, an essential component to the company's plan is to establish conventional stores across the U.S. that utilize unconventional technology - such as stores that don't have a need for cashiers and stores that use smart technology to simplify how customers browse and decide on products.
Kroger, meanwhile has been investing heavily in ClickList because business generated through e-Commerce is only expected to grow more and more as fewer people shop in the "traditional way". Amazon is a bigger threat to Walmart overall, but make no mistake... what Amazon is doing and hopes to accomplish does in fact impact Kroger in a very significant way and that's why Kroger is pushing its ClickList + home delivery service as hard as it is and is willing to sink a massive amount of money into its e-Commerce division of the company.
