Can you work at two Krogers at the same time?

I've been part time at Kroger as a cashier for two years. I'm wondering can I put in an application at another Kroger that is 10 minutes away? Is it possible to work at two Krogers at the same time? I'm just trying to make a little more money!

U can request a transfer but once u submit your application they will automatically know that u work at another store by pulling your name up.

I don't think they can say no. But your store may make it difficult for you. But, if you tell your store manager that you love your store, but you just simply need more money, he maybe more inclined to give you his blessing. And if you are a good worker and  they may get scared that they may lose you to the other store, they may even give you more hours at your store.

Ultimately, it's none of their business what you do after you clock out. But they will see that you are working at another store, so it's better to tell them ahead. Your store will pay you for what you are scheduled there, and the other store will pay you for the hours worked at their place.

You don't have to apply at another store. Just go to the store director and ask if they need some help. Even if it's just for a few hours, it will be your chance to show then that you are a good worker. If they like what they see, they may give you more.

Good luck!

I've worked at two stores I even worked at two stores in one day as long as your store manager is cool with it just remember if you get overtime your home store is the one that pays for it and that's where you can get into trouble lol

^they only pay out the overtime if it's put in Kronos wrong. After i got moved to my current store, my old store wanted to use me for a few hours and the first time my new store got charged the OT, they weren't happy. They made sure that my home store (my old store, not my current one) paid the OT next time.

I did that too, working in two stores in one day... I worked 5-1 in my new store, clocked out, drove an hour home, then clocked in around 2:15 and worked until like 8 that night. I agreed to do 4 hours, but it turned into 6... the check was nice but that was one long day. I wouldn't have done that for everyone, but it gave me a chance to work with one of my friends from my old store.

As long as you don't get more than 20 hours at each store. I did that for 2 weeks and the store I was originally hired for made sure that I was unable to go to the other store to work, by giving me more hours and someone throwing a fit because they have seniority and should have gotten the overtime I got.

The store someone is volunteering for pays the OT.  If it is put in kronos correctly.

But, the OP was asking if they can be hired at both stores independent of each other.  No.  You are hired at your home store.  You can volunteer at another store.  But, they have to offer the employees in the other store the hours first or there will be grievances.
