at every register there is a soda with a paper attached to it that reads , "If the cashier does not ask you about (name of the organization accepting the donations) this soda is yours for free) , when cashiers are asking about donations. Curious if it happens to be like this at every store .. ?
We don't have to ask about any charities thank goodness. I'm kinda upset kroger has started doing that. Thats one of the reasons I don't like safeway. They always ask about that stuff and it makes you feel like an ass when you say no
Not me. I don't feel guilty. Not one bit. And it's because they turn donations into a f*cking competition! Case in point, I was in another Kroger in my regular clothes, when I got hit up. I'm like "no thanks, it's been made into a competition and that's wrong." Grabbed my stuff and left. Management hearted me, and for a moment I thought they were going to 'kill me' for speaking the truth. Too bad though.

I agree with you on making it a competition is wrong. What I heard on this board, is that Kroger gets tax cuts or reduce a their tax burden if they collect a lot of donations, that, to me, is wrong. Its extra work begging the customers to donate, then in reality Kroger wants people to donate their hard earned money, just so a billion dollar company can pay less taxes. Then employees don't get paid extra, we don't even get gift cards. I'm fact my manager lied to me,promised info sold so many I would be rewarded them refused sed to pay up.
