I got one of the 4 FULL TIME spots in the Deli!!!! Albeit, my DH was like since we are all essentially one dept. And even though we are getting in a new person to the bakery...He doesn't want to leave his bakery back up high and dry while we have the new person. So even though I'll be dubbed full time on the 23rd of this month. I may still be over in bakery for a time, til they see how the new person pans out. Which is fine by me. Not like I'm super stoked to be handling messy salads and the like just yet anyway. And also, have to get the Boar's Head training and other training in general for stuff down there once I move over there officially. But definitely brings some joy to the beginning part of my week!
And on a side note, I have also learned that tomorrow I'll be doing the Associate Survey. Anything I should know heading into it? And also how is your guys' week shaping up so far?
Congrats on getting full time! I know Kroger isn't always the best job to have but full time at least guarantees you your money.
And yes it is survey time and i will probably be taking mine tomorrow as well... my advice, be honest. who knows if corporate will actually read the comments or not, but i'm not going to stoke their egos at all.
If you gonna be honest on the survey, don't put down your real years of working with them, department and your gender. By that they can identify you, haha. : ( But I personally don't believe that they listen. I mean I have commented on "we need more hours and help" and all we got is less hours and less help.

Thanks! I was thinking that as well about the money. Can finally work on these freaking student loans if nothing else!
I will do my best on the survey. Be honest, but not brutally so as I've been told I can be at times when something irks me. Thanks for the advice.

Thank you. :)
Ahh, I see. Yea, if I put down that I'm coming up on being there a year, they could very easily look me up no doubt. Although, if I did put down my gender they have a while figuring out who I am as there are tons of women in the Deli/Bakery though. But I see what you mean. Wouldn't want someone being like "it was that one over there that said X,Y, and Z!"

Interesting! You must not have a profile on here and always remain anonymous. When you set up a profile for this blog, you give that info. I wonder how many females, who work in Deli/Bakery (at a Kroger) started almost a year ago.

I will be brutally honest on my survey and I will put all my department, years of service correctly. They could pinpoint it down to who it may be but I think that would be very time consuming and I just don't see them caring enough with who said the place sucks. We need everyone in every store to be honest. If most people are afraid to point out the issues in the store than the surveys only show a small percentage think more help is needed. Majority rules so speak up people!

I was honest, but kept it rather objective too. That I still didn't know a lot of things do to so much lack of communication. Heck, I didn't even know that Kroger was supposed to have had such a great insurance plan either going into things. So was very forth right about that as well. And until recently, they hadn't posted up a lot of job bids or even access to transfer depts. But now since we have survey time, I saw papers up for folks that would be interested in Clicklist. And even suddenly my dept. is able to hire another closer and even another baker after I got the full time Deli spot. It's like seriously? But yea, I mentioned all of that.
