Elms questions.

hello,

i know I am probably way behind the times, but division is just now rolling out elms. I am the dairy and frozen food lead and my dept has taken a huge hit on hours. I was on a 430 splh, and now with elms they have me at 465 dairy and 500 frozen. Is this normal in kroger, if so how do you get everything done?

Thanks!

 ^ Too true.

As for how do you get things done original poster. I'm still trying to figure that out and I've been in bakery for 11 months or so now. And they want more production with less hours all the time. I'm going down to Deli where they seem to have more than enough folks down there and to a degree can actually get stuff done on time. Pending on if folks are working together or not.

Take it from me. I been under elms for 6 years. It never gets better only worse, you will never get done and will be held accountable for your department. If you can step down or quit.  We went from around 800 elms hours down to 423 over my time here. Which is weird cause we are always above last year and above budget.  Our tonnage increased too.  They promised me if we did more time. Consume stuff it would increase elms, so we made kabobs and seasoned chicken religiously, they never once increased except for when then cut 40 hours out and then add 10 back in and say it's for the holiday.

Mark my words, get out now before you are like my department.  4 people on staff, 200 hours (everyone's on six days).  400 elms hours, which decrease every single day, no chance of hiring anyone soon, been like this since last year. They don't give a **** and neither do I anymore. Even with the staffing crisis they just fires.... Sorry consolidated, all the hrs and moved all hiring to a central location.  It's worse than ever and all by design.

GET OUT. FOR YOU AND FOR YOUR FAMILY BEFORE YOU ARE TRAPPED.

Sorry auto-correct butchered that. But the sentiment is there even with **** punctuation and wrong tense of words.
