Yes. Fortunately, the CC wasn't hurt. It was an old lady that hit him and then tried to get him fired claiming that he hit her car. The manager basically laughed in the lady's face.
Lmao I wish someone would run me over with my pretty orange vest on so I can sue for millions or get workmans comp for the rest of my existence
That is a sad goal in life. I suggest you avoid getting hit at all costs.
To get millions, you would need to be paralyzed, maimed or have brain injuries. Also, the driver would need to have deep pockets. Most insurance policies have low limits. Being emotionally traumatized doesn't pay well. Think about that next time you see a crippled person. Would you really like to trade places?
As for workmans comp. You might get 60% of your current pay. (I am not certain). Out of that 60%, you would need to buy your own insurance. Let's say that you make $7.50 an hour and work 24 hours a week Taking home $126. Could you live the rest of your life on $76 a week?
My point is that I wish you a long healthy, happy life.
So far I haven't heard anything like that at my store. But they have been wanting to get speed bumps or stop signs in the parking lot so that DOESN'T happen. However, our store managers keep nixing it. And saying the neon vests should be bright enough that no one takes them down.
When I was a CC i had a couple of close calls and also people not paying attention to the line of shopping carts I was moving. When we still had Senior day it was always a nightmare and I have limited vision as I have no periphial vision which made things difficult.
