Yup, the whole company is turning upside down. Upper Management (Outside or store) doesn't care about associates or what actually goes on in the store! Wonder why retention is horrible and long term associates are exiting..... WAIT..... VRO eliminated long term associates, maybe their current plan is to eliminate store associates ...but in a differing way?
Kroger is basically saving money by hiring more co managers why do u think they got rid of all the store secretaries and made the co managers take care of it now. What I thinks funny that they are promoting co managers that have no clue or shouldn't even be in that position in the first place, it's all about who u know.
Can someone even tell me what co-managers even do? I used to see them help work truck if a department fell way behind or if they had a call-in. Not anymore. I still see them standing at the front end doing nothing mostly and occasionally directing traffic, big deal... They take forever to come to the back to unlock a damn door for milk, frozen trucks etc. See them walk by tons of customers not saying hello. Fracking none of them know where any product is in the store if you ask for their help.
I see them sitting on their ass in the office though or talking on cell phones.
Someone tell me how exactly they are worth their salary?... And don't give me any they handle logistics garbage...
There's basically 3 co managers one handles merchandising: they are responsible for how all the dept in stockposition, sales, how the dept are displayed. Operations: they handle shrink, overtime, elms, over delivery basically all numbers and how the store operates. And then u have HR they basically are a overpaid store Secretary
