I've already did the search on this particular topic. But honestly I'm just looking for opinions on how good people find the insurance to be? And does it cost more for full timers vs. part timers. All I keep hearing is how great it is from our regional or whatever manager. But I'd hate to switch to a new plan and not have my doc be in the network and I end up paying more than I already do for the plan I currently do.

And would it make any difference in cost with me being single and no dependents or no?

It all depends on if your Insurance is Company Insurance or Union Insurance. With Union Insurance it all depends on your Full Time Status.......pay more weekly to save if something really happens.

Yea, I'll have to call and see if it's union or company insurance with a host of other questions. I also hear what you are saying about paying more to save on if something big were to happen. Just I guess it depends on how much MORE I would have to pay them. Cause right now I have Anthem that my dad has been paying on for me since I was a kid and I think he hopes the new insurance be cheap enough that I can keep up with it on my own now.

But honestly, I'm not sure with student loans(I'm in the process of working on getting taken out too), not sure how I can swing both... But shall see what I can do. Thanks again.

If your a store associate with Union Insurance, I'm sure it will be good enough. Personally, when I qualified @ 18 I my family switched me over. I currently I'm FT-1 and pay $9.00 a week and carry the top plan, which has the lowest "Total Payout" if something does happen. I don't understand why people don't pay the extra $1 a week to not have to pay an extra $500-$1000 if something does happen. IF you have to go to the hospital for anything, its going to be $2000+.....pay it now to save later.

Yea, just took a second to re-read it over and yea it's coming from the Union and employer health and welfare office. And ironically enough they are using the same insurance I'm already under to a degree(company rates and such are much lower than my current individual plan which I have been on since 2013). But yea, I think the $10 a week thing in the plan(pre-tax co-pay I believe the paper work called it) allows for putting away that bit of money for later like you mentioned.

But I'll be honest, and say to some degree it's all still rather confusing at times to me. I mean even under the plan I'm currently under my dad had taken it onto himself to cover it for me before I had a job. And being kind of old school and the man of the house. He never really explained much about it other than "It's being taken care over and be happy about it", kind of approach lol. So still trying work with him in explaining things out better WITH the new plan so I don't get any surprises down the road.

Thanks again for the help though on this EUID.

Yup, not a problem. Insurance is a thing you don't worry about until you need it! I have always learned to over think things in the beginning and then not have to worry about it later! People always want to pay for the basic coverage and not understand the differences! Paying the extra $1-2 weekly, saves you $500-1500 if something happens. If for some reason you get taken to the ER in an Ambulance.....your paying $500 not $3000 when its all said and done.

Also, Something I have learned....never pay a bill that is sent from the Doctor's office...unless its like the 2 or 3rd notice. (Insurance most likely is covering it, but the payment most likely wasn't processed)
