Make It Right Stickers For Sale
Permalink

Just got off work during my shift a customer wanted to buy one for $20.00.  First thing I told him was you can't use it on alcohol & it's Sunday so can't buy it anyway.  Also you would be losing out on your money cause the stickers are only good for $20. I would if just gave him one but I didn't have any on me, he still thought about but eventually change his mind.

Make It Right stickers are for employee use only. A customer should never have an unused one in his/her possession. If you were to just give a customer a blank one, he/she could use it on an item and look at any employee's name tag to get a name to put on the sticker. If management were to catch an employee giving out blank stickers, there would likely be consequences because you're essentially granting a customer the right to give himself/herself almost any item in the store at a markdown price... or even free.

So, yeah... don't do that.

I meant to add that selling Make it Right stickers to customers is even worse than giving them out because Kroger would see that as theft. You would be getting the money instead of the company because the customer would be giving you the money instead of the company for the product(s). There is no way to ring up Make It Right stickers at the register, either... because that would be pointless.

I never heard of Make It Right stickers being for sale... or even used for fraud. Most customers don't even know about them and they're limited to $10 and below items for a reason.

It's probably not a good idea to say that you would have given a customer a blank make it right on here when you've got your real name and location in your profile.

I'm not worried because at my store you would be surprised at the things management & associates do.

You're correct alcohol is government priced and set at a finalized price.  If the sticker is expired you have to call pricing management to correct it in the computer.  If you change alcohol prices too much your store could use the liquor/alcohol license.  Make it right stickers are not for customer use.  For example we are suppose to have stickers to place on large items to show it's been scanned.  If a customer gets a hold of a role they could get a ton of items for free.

Say for example we kept having an elderly gentleman too incompetent to understand the basics sweet talk us into price over ride singles to a $1.00.  To satisfy his sin of drunkenness.  Back when it was a $1.00 he quarreled about the price increase.  After a while we had to tell him "No we are about to loose are liquor license because of you."  Belittled the women cashiers and we had to have the "male" manager tell him "No."  "We can no longer honor price over rides for you or we may not even be able to sell alcohol to anyone."  Never really saw him back in the store again.  Passed or quarreled with penny pinching.
