Suprise Observation ???

Okay, so I had my manager observe me I'm not quite sure if it was only me but I am pretty sure it had something to do with a customers comment. Anyone else know why observations come in I've been working at Kroger for a year now and I only smile they want me smile like I'm the joker and I can't do that sorry. ?

Actually, Supervisors are to perform Observations on most of their associates. But....since every store is understaffed or lacks staffing that is "effective" (Since you are expected to be 150% for what was expected 2 years ago).....those are one of the things that are last to be completed.

So wait, do they do the observations at random? Or do you know going in that you will be observed that day?

they are observing you to see if you are acknowledging the customers or not, all you gotta do is say hi and give eye contact

They are supposed to observe five cashiers and five courtesy clerks a week and fill out a form which is kept in a binder.

Ahh, I see. So I guess it's another part of keeping up the Fresh and Friendly stuff or the 3 A's as another poster was talking about?
