Job Title Error
Permalink

When I started working for Kroger, (in July of this year) my job total was supposed to be for an overnight stocker.  I recently logged onto expresshr, and it says that I'm an overnight/clerk or something to this effect.  Our store closes at 11pm, so why is it saying this is my job description?  Also, does rate of pay transfer over to another store which is a fuel station or do I have to go off of their pay scale?  I heard that an error like this in a contract can affect this.

Well, I'm a cashier and ExpressHR says my title is "Front End Clerk" so I think that's kinda how it goes.

Yea, when I was hired on. I was in the bakery but it said I was a deli clerk. So I guess it sort of panned out once I became a full-time deli clerk.

Actually that is the same position, everyone is a clerk. It appears your classified correctly, just its worked differently then how they described the position. A few position in the store have 3 different names people call themselves, Bagger = Courtesy Clerk = Cart Pusher

Hmm, I looked at it again, and it says grocery night/clerk, so maybe the stocker part's just cut off?

A grocery night clerk is a night stocker. We're all considered clerks.
