A while back I mentioned that our store was a green store as opposed to a red or yellow store. That meant we only had to take inventory in the deli and bakery once a quarter rather than every period. Well, it turns out the last inventory was so bad in the whole division that they're making the green stores take inventory along with the red and yellow stores for the rest of the year in an effort to bring up the numbers so to speak. Does that make any sense to you? Why should we and other green stores make an effort to stay a green store if we're not going to reap the benefits of being a green store?
our whole division have to take it too every dept, deli bakery meat, every period regardless if we are over or under. Cant imagine counting inventory when the holiday season starts oh yay, Just another way of kroger trying to penny pinch every last dime they can.
I'm not even sure if my store is in the green or in the red. But I did hear from another co-worker that is "training" to become a lead say that next week she'll be doing inventory by herself. And she has been over in the cheese shop a lot more than deli. So I guess that means EVERYBODY has to do inventory as well again. But I swear we just did it a few weeks ago. So maybe I'm part of one of those divisions that have to do it so often now as well. Sooo NOT looking forward to another early morning shift and getting witched out, cause I wasn't on top of mark downs and other crap, cause it wasn't scanned out already. >_<
Welcome to communism at Kroger land. Even if you do good you will fail and everybody is lumped in together. No incentive to do well, no pride in your work anymore when someone else is going to screw it up for you
