I hate calling my store

It's my day off and I'm not wasting it by going all the way down there. Every time I have an issue and I have to call them, it is virtually impossible to get a manager on the line. They put me on hold for a long time. And if by some miracle I do get a manager, they're unable to help me fix my problem. See today I've got an issue with my paycheck and only certain managers have the ability to fix time clock issues. I've called five times today at different times and still no luck.

Pay stub/time punch issues are best resolved by personally talking with the associate manager, front end manager, or whoever does the time log in your store. It's a difficult thing to get done PROPERLY over the phone because a lot of times managers will simply write a note to remind themselves and then forget about it. Or not even write a note and just keep it in the back of their mind for them to forget about it when they get side tracked.

Best way to make sure you don't get shorted on hours is checking Inquiry on the key pad after every shift. If your hours don't add up, simply write it on the comm log and check back the next morning. So many people don't know they get shorted until they get paid, and some never notice at all. It's very easily fixed by checking your hours everyday because it's very difficult to get your hours fixed from last week, two weeks ago, or two months ago.

Well, my paycheck is already on it's way into my bank account. Is it too late now to fix it, can they pay me for the hours missed on next week's paycheck? Is that possible?

You're telling me I can check how many hours have been punched in for the current week on the kronos time clock? I thought that could only be done by having a manager show me on their computer in their office.

If you guys always have issues calling the store, learn the MGMT Cordless Phone #'s. Dial their extension when prompted for the 0-7 options.

Yes, they can do that and not only "can" they, they have to, it's illegal to not pay you for your labor...

Yes. Press Inquiry under Ring and enter your badge #. It will show your hours worked to date for the week. Check it every time after you clock out and before you leave. If it's wrong, write on comm log and make sure they fix it the next morning. Very easy.

I did not even know that that was possible... wow... No one ever told me about that... I guess they don't want people knowing they can do that...

First thing tomorrow, I'm going to go there and ask my CSM what the phone codes are for each manager. I'm assuming managers don't like to be called on their phones about customers that need help right? Our store's managers communicate through walkie talkies which only the office/service desk and floor supervisors get to have. I'm guessing they're not near their phones 90% of the time are out on the floor with their walkie talkies.

Actually, it's more beneficial to them if EVERYONE did know it. My associate manager told me about it on my first day and it's been a habit since then. Just too many people are stupid and are too lazy to learn they can check their hours until they get shorted on their next pay check then go complaining to everyone.

good l

Sorry, I was referring to the phone extension numbers.

But yeah, that too, I did not know you could check your hours on the time clock. Nobody told me that either!

Our managers walk around with walkie talkies. I've never seen them with cordless phones. And they don't give us cashiers walkie talkies unless you're running the floor or the service desk. I guess this explains why it's so hard to get a hold of a manager.
