I would have to say hiring events are not productive as they used to be. Personally, I would not want to work at a place where I see no associates, no items on the shelf and at times just looks a wreck. Kroger dramatically needs to reinvent itself in this "NEW" retail environment!
There was a much-hyped hiring fair at the Clarksville, IN Kroger store (#762) on Saturday, November 4th, 2017, but I haven't heard how many people applied and/or were hired. Anybody know?
Was this a "nation-wide" Kroger hiring thing going on this weekend???
Kroger continues to cut our hours, but seems to think that they need to be hiring massive amounts of people for the holidays.........hey, how about giving your present hourly employees some hours, Kroger corporate people??!!
LOL, damned. All we need is hours for people already in the store and willing and able to get the job done better than any new teenager hired off the street. Let us work and make some money for the holidays, corporate!
I agree with everyone here! Kroger must have blinders on when it comes to the bigger picture. The company's old school way of doing things are no longer working in it's favor. It doesn't make sense to hire a bunch of lazy inexperienced teens with no work ethic, when you already have dedicated employees who are willing to put in the hard work and do whatever it takes to help run things. Yet Kroger keeps cutting hours and expecting more and wonder why their current employees are leaving to work elsewhere.
