So I've been told that we can't return baby formula because it's against the law, and that's fine. That's what I've been telling people with tobacco and formula both. However, recently a customer pitched a fit about it and said she looked it up and there's no law against it. Is it federal law or company policy? I don't want to be telling people something when it's not true. I understand that the WIC makes it a tad more complicated, but for argument's sake, let's pretend they didn't buy it with WIC. If you could help, I'd really appreciate it!
Formula can be returned with a Receipt (as long as payment isn't Wic Payment), Tobacco in my state isn't allowed to be returned. Even if there isn't a law, I would ask the customer where the law states a retailer has to return a product that isn't defective?!
