I asked my manager if I could clock out to go take care of a bank problem. He said as long as I was going to stay over to make the time up because he would loose the. Is this some new policy? People do this all the time and not stay.
If you have to leave the building because of an emergency, it is expected that you return later to finish your shift. To do otherwise is job abandonment. Of course if the situation is SERIOUS enough, you are excused to not return, but if it's a simple issue like going to the bank, you should clock out then clock back in / write in when you get back and finish however long you were scheduled. To not do so messes up the schedule and ELMS.

I have always left for a few minutes having to take care of things. This was a over draft at the bank happened by mistake. I took out too much money before a bill cleared. I was thinking I had to deposit by 1 PM for it to go in today. No big deal I got off at one it's OK now the bank said it would go in today. As far as ELMS I do not gave a rats behind about all that. It is not my problem it messes it up. As long as I clock out I don't see a probelm but like I said it's OK now.
i'm sorry, but I think if you are really going to leave for something like that, you really should clock out for a lunch and then come back and finish your shift. i'm not too worried about ELMS, but i mean, we're understaffed as it is, that's not exactly family emergency level situations here.

I was going to clock out. And it took no longer than ten minutes. I just always heard when you do a deposit it needs to be before 1 PM or it would go in next day. I guess now they changed it where it goes in anytime before they close. It is all OK now taken care of.
