It will depend on if you are the lead clerk or not. If not then you are part of the tag team and will only be working in file on Tuesday and/or Wednesday. Those are night shifts and you will be changing the price tags of the products (Wednesday is the big ad change). If you are the lead then you will be working those night shifts and performing other duties like checking the tags throughout the store, managing in store price changes, making signs as needed, building displays at the managers "request", correcting any incorrect prices, setting up not on file products, working with the resets done by Kompass and of course running a register as needed.

Will differ by store. Our lead rarely works nights but comes in at 4-5am on Wednesday and gets everything done quickly. Two girls swap out all the tags Monday and then Tuesday night. Most displays at our store are either done by the Grocery Manager, me (Asst/Backup Grocery Manager), Unit Manager, or our Merchandising ASM. Biggest thing about doing the tags at night is putting them in the right spot; I have to pull a dozen or more a week because our tagging team put the wrong tag on the wrong item.
What are the duties for Front End File Maintenance?
Gossip.
This too. And have affairs. Two of the five File Maintenance Clerks I've known in two years of working at the store have been married woman sleeping with co-workers. One with the (at the time) Night Manager, which was really convenient for them since she worked two late nights a week and nobody is in the store at night to see what they're doing.
