That yodel yammer site is a joke I laugh every time I go on there, it's about 95% co managers 4.5% dept heads/asst. .5% regular employees

Ohhhh that explains why there's a ton of Simple Truth stuff out in the sides of the isles at my store. And all the Simple Truth logos plastered everywhere and that "$100 in digital coupons." It's the anniversary of the brand.

Every year......its the New Years Resolution kick...eat health, workout ( Organic/Nutritional Foods push, Fitness Items in promo). This time of year is also the GREAT time to get all the Holiday items 70%/90% off too.

I hate that name, "Simple Truth".  It's just so damn pretentious.  Stupid Truth sounds more like it.

I hate it because we're a store in a poor area and nobody buys the crap, and we'll be stuck with pallets of useless organic merchandise that won't move. Will have to be marked down to keep it from going out of date and even then it's a struggle to get it out the door.

You describe an issue that all store experience, some programs have been "Cookie Cuter" into programs. Part of Restock Kroger is to eliminate the Cookie Cuter and align each store with their environment. Personally, I store the same size should carry the same product mix, but depending on the store location the shelf facings adjusted. Do down your Peanut Butter Aisle, does anyone have a 4 foot section for 1 variety of Kroger Peanut Butter able to be stacked 2 high?

Simple truth is actually a good brand. Way better than the Kroger Brand. In particular with more expensive organic products but still affordable.

Simple Truth: It's neither!

Organic and "natural" marketing is more lies than usual

Correct, "Out Brands" are seen as a customer driver to the stores.....and have higher markup because your not having to pay the markup to the CPG manufacture.

Has anyone seen the SIMPLE TRUTH commercials on TV lately?  Evidently a part of the recent drive to promote the brand.  Of course, the commercials try to paint a slick picture of how GREAT and NATURAL and HEALTHY and COOL and CHIC and HOT and WONDERFUL and "IN STYLE" and SMART these products are................ most of the general public is (to be honest) quite gullible and most viewers will probably be impressed by those slick commercials.

Speaking of Simple Truth commercials,  in an older Simple Truth commercial at the end they show the logo on the screen and some kid's hands with the thumbs and index fingers of each hand touching.  What is that suppose to be?  I think they were trying to make a heart but it looks more like an ace of spades.
