This sounds like someone i know. Coming in late all the time or calling off... Then being able to stop in at the right time on her day off.

I didn't even realize that they could do something like that. I mean for a time we would have plenty of call offs at my store. But they weren't really allowing someone to make up time on their day off. Unless they were sick or something. But not simply for making up time just to goof off.

Last week I had someone in my dept tell me they wouldn't be here a certain day and even wrote a note. So I asked somebody else to work that shift. Turns out that guy still showed up regardless. I asked why he left a note saying he wouldn't be here and still showed up. He said it wasn't a for sure thing. THEN WHY LEAVE A NOTE SAYING YOU WOULDN'T BE HERE? If you say you're going to be here or not, follow through because we had to have another guy work extra for his mistake. Which damages the morale of the department. And being how much they cut our hours and how strict they are, we don't have room to just be giving away extra shifts, dumbo.

That is seriously damn stupid of that person. And can see how that would bring things down for everybody.

This has a big impact on allotted hours usage and overages. One of the main reasons why management is complaining about going over hours in a department is basically because they allow some employees to make up lost hours. This is after replacements were called in because of the original call-off. Want to suck a department dry of hours, allow employees to makeup call-off hours...

So our garbage back up have three people in the meat department and one in seafood for four hours they were dirty knives drains weren't cleaned cap wasn't done.  Our back up is a disgrace to the Kroger Co.  in light of the fact there was 4 to 8 inches of snow in the forecast  and now we're playing from behind.
