Kroger Employees Act Brainwashed (is it just me) ?

I am a attendant at self checkout but I notice that everyone gets safety bucks except me. They normally give it to people who dont do ****. They have cut everyones hours on the Front down to about 17 hours and I notice some employees in the other departments have 6 or 9. Thats not the point, the point is at self checkout when people leave money, I always turn it in. I didnt know that the company keeps that money and its theirs now (if the customer doesnt come back). Yesterday, I got upset because I asked my manager can I keep a Catalina coupon it was for $3.00 of any purchase and she immediately said no (I know its company rules). Whats the difference between Kroger taking unwanted money and employees taking unwanted coupons? It is totally hypocritical and I know some ******* will comment well how do you know a customer doesnt want the coupon? because the Catalina printer and receipt printer are paired side by side, and they will grab the receipt and look right passed the coupon. Horror Company indeed!!!

the catalinas are aimed at specific shoppers based on behavior so if you to use some other catalina that didnt print for you then youre committing coupon fraud. loss prevention does track this. As for cash left behind it should be logged in case the customer comes back but at some point it cant be kept on hand and whatever the division policy is must be followed. Where I am it just gets added to the office or donated to whatever charity drive we have going on. My store doesnt see a lot of left behind cash but some of them do.

You mean very well, but I somehow don't believe any of this got through disbelief

If you don't like the fact you can't use coupons that customers leave, how about you go open your own grocery store where you can't make the rules.

Sometimes I will find random coupons laying around the Produce department and I just put them in front of the product for other customers to use. Sometimes I'll even find coupons for specific products already sitting on top of that product. I think customers bring them in then decide they don't want to buy the item and just leave the coupon there for other customers. But employees aren't allowed to use those coupons.

I've seen coupons for $xx.xx off a product in the trash outside. I left it there because I don't like the product offered or I don't use/need it.
And how is it fraud? If another customer nabs and uses the coupon left behind from another customer, isn't that fraud as well?

I find coupons all the time in the bakery for items we sell.  They go directly into the trash.  Leaving coupons around like that just makes the store look cluttered.
