How many hours do you haft to average to keep Health Ins

i had a manager tell me we needed to Average 40

but that doesnt sound right

i thought it was 36 you had to average

40 is the max, not an average. That manager is blowing smoke up your ass.

depends on what your union contract says.  Here in the Atlanta Division (Local 1996), if you average 12 hours a week you qualify for the ancillary plan (Dental and Vision ONLY). Average 18 hours or more you qualify for part-time health insurance (usually Kaiser Permanente PPO).  Average 32 plus hours you qualify for Full-time health insurance. (Blue-Cross HMO)

im in the Lexington/Louisville Division  ufcw 227

 

and i dont see this in the contract

 yes after a year of employment is when you qualify for the benefits in the Atlanta Division.  If you have reached your anniversary date I would either talk with your AA or call you union representative to see if you can request an mid year enrollment packet.

Depends on your union and contract.

 

UFCW local 21 states

80 hours for family health insurance a month

20 hours a month for individual health  insurance
