Hey, I shopped at a Kroger with rhe new scan, bag and go technology.
..I loved it..I'm a cashier..been around a while..the future of groceey shopping is here and its scan, bag and go..Kroger is keeping apace with technology , they have to..this business has to survive .. making shopping user friendly is the only way forward..
I think it will be a big hit too and I would definitely use it every time I'm in a Kroger store. It'll be very convenient for times when you only want 2 or 3 items and u scan is backed up. Also don't have to deal with the rude cashiers/u scan attendants when there is a hiccup. SBG can't come soon enough.
SBG in basic form isn't bad, but how do you make sure customers are scanning each item? How do you know it customer have actually paid? SBG is eventually or now allows customers to not even have to use SCO........How will you determine which customer have paid a which are just walking out the door?
Either use your Kroger/SBG App or handheld at store. Scanning plus card/loyalty card, scan items your wanting to purchase and then place items in your cart/bag. Go to SCO lane and scan the barcode that is located by the screen. Order is basically suspended from handheld then retrieved to SCO, you then just pay at SCO lane.

For some reason, when I read this post, it reminded me of the way they speak in infomercials or on the home shopping channels. I keep waiting for the, "But wait, there's more."
