First? Are there other stores in the city that have it?
I once heard that the store on vine st is going to be closed soon and a new mega store is going to be built in downtown. Is that true? Is it going to be next to the Kroger building?
Other stores had SBG, but didn't have the additional SCO. They are rolling out, eliminating checklanes and adding more SCO with the introduction of SBG. The new store is downtown 1 block from the Kroger building, if you go DT you will see its being constructed right now. No one is completely sure what its going to be like inside other then having 2 floors and have an expanded Deli Food court w/ 1883 Restraunt I would believe. (2nd floor is going to be more then just a loft, but an actual 2nd floor or sales space)
Is it at the intersection of central pkwy and walnut st? There used to be a parking lot there and now there's this construction site. So I'm assuming that's it.
It looks like a small area. Where will the parking for customers be? Underground?

A new store in my area is in the process of becoming a marketplace and they now have 2 SCO sets, along with a lot more check lanes. One SCO is for SBG, the other is the traditional SCO that was there before the remodel. I guess they think this new marketplace is going to be jumping and jamming 24/7, which it most likely will be because they're closing the other Kroger down the street lol.
Most likely they will alter the plan and add more SCOs and eliminate Checklanes. The store mentioned above "Western Hills" is a higher volume store with only 7 Checklanes, but 17 SCO's. Quevisions is important in all stores, but in SBG FEC stores, the standard is not 1+1 anymore.
Store on bottom 2 floors, parking below and above I believe with apartments/condos in the tower.

Wow, that looks crazy awesome. I guess this will be Kroger's flagship store or something. Wonder what it's gonna be like having an apartment on top of a grocery store.
"Oh, darn, I need to shop for some groceries. Hmm, Oh wait! I live on top of a grocery store! I'll just hop on the elevator and go down a few floors. No need to get in my car or even out of my pajamas!"
Our store is surrounded by apartments, and a lot of shoppers just take the one or two minute walk to the store whenever they need anything. Some customers are in the store several times a day.
Out by me they started ripping up Register 1 and 2 tonight (then the Store Director called and put a stop to it for some reason) and they positioned them in the stupidest area possible...right by the freaking exit. Why couldn't they have put them closer or even back to back with the other Uscan bank. Stupid if you ask me, as people love to try to sneak out around the lane blockers to run the door and steal stuff without us even having time to react if we can't focus at that time, while they sometimes literally vanish out of thin air once in the parking lot.
