Can you do this?

Okay here's my question. Please follow along the example.

This guy - lets call him "Dude" works as a cashier at his local Kroger.

"Dude" hears about another Kroger hiring for to be in deli.

"Dude" is interested in this position but since the position is at a different Kroger he would have to transfer.

Paperwork, talking to managers, etc can take quite some time, so "Dude" decides he wants to quit and to re-apply at the new store.

"Dude" reads that once you leave a Kroger store they are not allowed to re-hire you for some time, not knowing if this true, "Dude" is not sure what to do.

Can "Dude" just quit and go get the deli position at the other store or does he have to wait for the transfer to approve?

I would ask for documentation that explains company policy on leaving/returning associates.
Also, Id highly recommend you DONT so this. Remember the computer training? I remember the computer training... **** that noise. Itd be better if you just asked your managers how the transfer is doing. Theyll probably be pretty slow, because they hate moving people for some reason. But if you keep them contacting you, youre bound to transfer eventually.

Dude needs to apply for the Deli position and call the Kroger he is interested in and talk to the hiring manager. If Dude just quits they put Dude on a no rehire list and no Kroger will hire Dude. Dude needs to also put in his 2 weeks notice and work the entire two weeks.
