Me? Half way through my real career license training. Why? Because I'm sick of dead end jobs and too little money.

I'm probably sticking with Kroger for a bit. I topped out recently so the pay is decent, I'm in a position I don't hate and in line for one I'd enjoy, and the new education perk should pay for me to go get some IT certifications.

Without the certs I'd struggle to find somewhere that paid better, once I take insurance and location into account. Insurance is dirt cheap here, and I can walk or bike to work in anything but the most miserable weather currently, which means I don't need my own personal car, which means no insurance or gas. That alone is probably worth a few dollars per hour.

Where I'm at now, but with more pay. I like my job, I have medical insurance, I'm covered when I retire, and I have job security as long as I do my job.

Graduating community college with my CDA and an advanced certificate in Child Care & Education. I already plan on quitting once I graduate. I'm just tired of working my butt off and not getting any recognition for it.

Probably some entry level IT job.

They are giving me an unbelievably difficult time about school or I'd be out by now.

Scheduling problems got out of hand and I ended up failing a few classes.

I can't figure out if it was deliberate, or if it was just incompetent and uncaring management being themselves.

OP here. Great responses people, thanks biggrin

I guess my main point is, it's important to have some kind of goal for yourself. Right or wrong, it's better to decide something.

Time has a way of sliding by, leaving you looking back over decades and wondering 'what the hell just happened...??'

Still working at Krogers. Krogers is the only company that has an affirmative action policy for hiring subhuman males like myself. Krogers is the only path to my plastic surgery salvation.
