Store manager says to clock out and go to office to speak with them.  Store manager proceeds to give suspension which led to termination.  I've never heard of a manager bring able to make somebody clock out and then fire that said body.  Can they do this?  I mean, it's still the said person's time too after all.

Said person should file a grievance for the 5 minutes it took for the firing. 5 minutes of pay, which is clearly owed to said person.

If you're ever a Said Person make sure you fall down and fake an injury. You'll have em by the balls. No company business is e v e r to conducted off the clock, and this is part of the reason ~

They can't fire you or suspend when you're off the clock unless you're caught stealing or fighting.  If it's neither one of those,  go to the union and get your job back.

If the reason that was given was valid and legit, walk away and just find another job! If you feel the firing was BS, then fight it. While all this should have been done on the clock, its a mute point if the reason was legit and valid.

If anything they will just tell you to come back in and clock in and then fire you again!

You mean moot point.  Mute means silent.

"Moot" point is the correct use of the word.

Thanks to the grammar police, this entire thread is now a moot point.
