So you ever have those former front end managers (CSMs, ACSMs, or whatever), who once were assigned to your store, move up to some position in district or corporate and you don't see them for a few months. Then they come by to visit your store for something, and they basically act like they've never seen you before.
I knew a guy this happened to and they used to golf together and when he hadn't seen or heard from them in awhile it was like who are you when they ran into each other.
Thankfully not. Cause the one dude that did move up is always using the same "How we doing?" that he always used when he worked at the store. Essentially asking are levels up to snuff and not really asking cause he gives a damn.
My thing is that I wish district or Corporate people stop treating you like you are a dog or a special little visiting team member that they have to be extra fake for. As I've gotten that twice now when the district and older Corporate guy. As the district guy is always coming by being EXTRA smiley and waving at everyone throughout the department or whatever. It's like I know you aren't there to see me. I've given you the quick nod or wave and I'm back to work. And even if he thinks you haven't seen you. He will deliberately walk right on up to you and be all extra smiley and waving in your face. Like dude back up.
But the Corporate guy really irked me one morning I was putting some more cheesecake in the freezer case. And kind of had my back turned a bit. I mean I had seen him and the district dude coming up on me via the glass I was in front of. But I kept on working thinking they would go right on by. And for once district dude did. But the Corporate dude patted on my back like I was his dog or something. Like dude what in the world? What happened to Good morning? How's your day going? Don't pat me like I"m freaking Benji or some ish.
