Is it wrong for me to tell customers to call corporate when

They're upset that we don't EVER have any working electric carts? They keep complaining to us but we can't do anything. Maybe if I tell them to call corporate, maybe something might happen?

Feel kinda bad when I have to tell an elder lady who really needs one of those carts that they're all dead or being used up.

No. I've had a customer furious that a certain flavor of yogurt was discontinued (kroger brand). He told me he was going to write a nasty letter. I empathized with him and encouraged him to do exactly that.

I don't get paid enough to have customers angry at me. Customer 1st.

Ahahaha at Walmart telling customers to call 1-800-walmart was our way of saying 'GO FK YOURSELF!'

......Because NO body follows up on those calls on that end. Nobody.

There's definitely something you can do to get the dead ones fixed. Try poking your file clerk for the support number; I'm not sure if the carts go through Kroger Support or a third-party maintenance, but they should be able to at least get you to the right people. If this isn't effective, tell the customers who need carts and can't find them to fill out the receipt surveys with the cart issue-- if they're not Highly Satisfied and there are multiple people complaining the manager WILL hear about it, and it will get fixed to save the all-important metrics.

I ran the Uscan closing shift at my store for a while, and the CSC was leaving me alone way too early in the evening for the number of customers we had with no backup cashier to call up. I had lines ten or more people deep at about the same time every night, despite running a register and the SCO cluster at the same time to get the big orders out of the way of the milk-and-eggs folk. I told the CSC that it was a problem, and they kept doing the scheduling that way anyway.

After a week or so of this I started directly telling unhappy customers to start doing the surveys and tell them about the lines and the lack of cashiers. Within a month the store manager ordered that we have at least one non-SCO lane open until after that predictable rush.

So, TROLL,  let's pretend we are talking about the employee who was subjected to a tirade by a customer angry because Kroger discontinued one of their favorite flavors of Kroger yogurt.

EXACTLY  (be VERY specific, troll!! )  how does that employee "MEET THE CUSTOMER'S NEED" in this scenario????????   Other than suggesting they call or write  Corporate, who presumably made the decision to discontinue that flavor, what could they really do??  (Sure, they could offer another flavor for free, but that doesn't really solve anything. Just encourages more customers to try getting more stuff free by raising a ruckus. )

BTW, I've noticed this on several flavors of low-fat Kroger yogurt in the small plastic containers (6 ounce, I think) that usually sell for 40 cents each.  Some have been discontinued during the last couple years. It is irritating when you really love a certain kind and suddenly it's gone.

That's not my problem, it's theirs. If they aren't able to fix it, they aren't doing their job. Fire them.

In reality there are some thing outside the stores control and others that are in the stores control. If the electric carts are out of order then its up to Store Mgmt to log a call and have the local techs come out and correct the issue. If the issue is not enough electric carts is also up to Store Mgmt to request additional units. A customer calling corporate is not going to change anything since the complaint will just be directed to Store Mgmt to correct. While it might sounds cold and a little too direct, "I'm sorry, but the electric carts are first come, first serve. We do not control who uses of these carts other then to monitor their usage isn't causing harm to fellow customer or our store premises. For units needing repair we report the as necessary", this should cover just about anything the customer might say.  I would say most are dead because they are being used 24/7, if anything your store more need to request replacement batteries if they are not lasting a reasonable time period.

1/10. **** tier trolling. Not funny. Not rage-inducing. Just kind of bland and boring. Try harder next time.

Im rather interested in where you work and why. I'd like to come in and get you fired as a customer demanding a item that's was discontinued 15 years ago cause the factory burned down.

I still get asked for that pickled ****.  I'd like for you to show me where it's at my man, or fix it.  Just kind of curious how you would handle that? Cause no substitute is even close, the formula is no longer produced, and the company factory is gone.
