Hiring Process/Training at your store

What is the average length of hiring process/training at your store? When I was hired a little over a year ago, I had to wait 3 days for a drug/background check to come back 1 1/2 days of computer lessons and work with one of the others for a couple days. Now they say it is 2 weeks for new hires.

Yeah, they made it in cinci/dayton that you dont have to take a drug test, so to compensate the have longer background checks. After the background check is completed, they start the computer things and then they get a little booklet theykre supposed to fill out but no one does.

3 months.  No kidding!  You wait 3 months to start working in a store from the time you first fill out the application only to be told you will be paid 10 bucks an hour, receive that first check and what they actually give you is 7.35 an hour and see ya!!!!  Kroger works people entirely too hard to expect anybody to stick around for anything less than 10 or 11 bucks an hour.

When I was hired we filled out paper applications.  I filled out an application, went to orientation that night, and started to work the next morning.
