 Bull.

In reality, CEO salaries have VERY LITTLE TO DO WITH SUPPLY AND DEMAND!     It basically comes down to GREED, and the inertia of stupid people on the boards of directors of these huge companies that keep on raising and raising and raising and raising the salaries of the CEOs,  just because. (Primarily, because "all the other companies out there are paying outlandishly high salaries for "good" CEOs, so, since Rodney is "good" .......he must be worth it too.........lets give him a raise!!).

A surprisingly honest, and a good eye-opening article (published by FORBES.com, strangely enough) is here........read this carefully and check out the basic underlying, number one reason why CEOs rake in the high salaries they do:   1) BECAUSE THEY CAN!!!

https://www.forbes.com/sites/adamhartung/2015/06/22/why-ceos-make-so-much-money/#195133074203

PS.  Also note in the article that in 1965 the average large company executive/CEO  made about 20 times the amount of money that the average run-of-the-mill worker did.  (Sounds like a lot, but that was actually comparatively reasonable compared to NOW!)    NOW, the percentage has skyrocketed to 300 TIMES (yes, three hundred) times as much money made by a typical CEO compared to his/her regular workers.

This is very enlightening, showing the increasing greediness, corruption and unfairness  at the very top of many companies.

It may seem like a lot but he's just one person.  Kroger employs 449,000 people.  I don't know how many of those salaried and how many hourly.  If you take his salary and divide it among all the Kroger workers, each person would receive less than two cents per hour pay raise.  If you count just hourly workers, it's still less than a nickel an hour.

It's sad that with each new contract, $0.25-$0.40 per year is all we can hope for! But really, our weak unions are to blame! As long as they (the unions) get paid, they don't care about us!

Do we have to be in the union at Kroger? Honestly with the way they pay I could care less if I lost this job.
