Who has Scan, Bag, Go at their store? My store is getting it during our remodel which is supposedly going to be soon.

I've been at multiple that have it now. It's going well. But expect the manned cashier hours to drop considerably. They expect 70% Utilization at SCO once you go live. Every store that gets it also gets more SCOs added, and express lanes are taken out. The Order Verifications aren't that bad, just make sure you respond to it promptly, because after 3 minutes, if no one acknowledges it, the customer's order is voided out. If I'm busy with another customer, I'll acknowledge the OV, and let the customer know I'll be there in a sec.

OVs usually don't happen often, but there's one store I know of that has it, and they get a lot of OVs. But it's also a store that gets a lot of scammers, so no shock there.

The mobile app is cool though. If you're on break, you literally can ring up all your stuff for your break on your phone. no waiting in line! :)

My store has it & it's not going well people refuse to use it.
We have key people from other departments being taken out for SBG.
Front end is getting killed cause they cut staff & hours thinking SBG was going to be a success.

Oooh. That's always a mistake. They should never do something like cut hours BEFORE you know the results. Our store hasn't cut hours (yet), but we do get customers who claim we already have based on faulty logic and math. Like the customer who said that we cut out an entire employee job by getting rid of the express lane. Not really. The express lane wasn't open all day and the person who would have been assigned to express would now be running a regular register where they can take care of large or small orders both.

Or the customer that swore we'd cut employees and hours because "Look at all those unmanned registers". Yeah we never had more than the one register open at 10 am on a Wednesday, even long before we heard about SBG. Just because we have 7 available registers doesn't mean that we ever had them ALL open 24/7. Only on our super busy holidays like Labor day or just before Thanksgiving. Each empty register is not a job lost when we wouldn't have had anyone there before SBG. And how in all their time coming there, did they not notice that those registers weren't always all open.
