In pricing on the weekly change over, new ad ,overnight shift the actual hours dont show up till Saturday before. 3 days before you need extra help. ask for help and get help about 25% of the time. Just had a 40 hour pricing shift and mind you thats just the hours to get all the tags hung. Doesnt include resigning half the store, sign kits etc. With no help we got 80% of tags hung and signs were done at about the same clip. Just sad been doing this a long time feel like Im only one gives a crap, this is importent work. So put 16 hours ,2 of us in that shift did the best we could and went home.
It has been this way for years. You dont get the final tag counts until after the schedule is done. Its stupid. Hopefully itll get better with the new ordering system and ad changes.
It is what it is though. I would think you would still have some idea because you can see the ad while schedule is still being written so youll know oh its a 2 day sale here and a 4 day sale there and a megaevent for two weeks, etc. Or its the 1st of the period or two week ad or a holiday is coming. Thats why you should work with your ops manager.
Truth is its hard to find good tag help and harder if you need them last minute
