Hey guys! I'm currently working on a story about essential workers, and one section is going to be about grocery workers. I'm focusing on Kroger since I am an employee. I thought it would be a great idea to get some statistics for my story. If any of you guys would be willing to, here's a Google Form...

One of us got tested because hospitalized. Company let us know of positive test for covid 19 like a week later ( many thanks to county health dept for making them do it). Someone else decided to self-quarantine because exposed out of concern for family and self. That person is now "no call no show" so...

Today, I was at work and my coworker was standing doing nothing for long periods of time for 3 hours straight. She was supposedly wiping down baskets as the courtesy clerk brought them in. Thats ok to wipe baskets down but when theres nothing left to wipe down, you can do something else. Kroger is a trash...

Happened yesterday again. A fat one came in and demanded a sale price for an item from a sign that was posted (on Saturday night) 10 hours before the item would be on sale tomorrow morning (Sunday) -- putting out ads before our evening shift ended for tomorrow morning. Any ideas on how to rid the planet o...

I live in Ohio. On Saturdays they tell us we can wear football shirts. One of the women in our department wore a Michigan shirt and she ended up being forced to change because the shirt was deemed "offensive to customers." What kind of weakling do you have to be to get offended over a football s...

I hope this makes you smile. I live in the country. So you can imagine that it takes me a while to get to work. I do see deer at the side of the road on occasion. However, today I passed four or five turkeys on two different moments. One of them went across the road. And it's not even November yet.

Do all produce tables in your Kroger store get "oiled" every so often, (to make them look shinier) usually when doing resets, especially the front display tables? Just wondered if they do that at all stores. Personally, I think they WAY over-do it at my store. Sometimes leaving so much oil it looks li...

True story. Dressing room had a very small turd ball on the floor. After giggling for 10 minutes and taking some smart phone pictures of it to share, I cleaned it up. Wasn't sure if coronavirus is in turds or not.

No, you should not. Terrible seeing these young and otherwise vulnerable people falling into the hands of this gang. The pandemic will be over soon. The harm caused by signing away your rights can be permanent. You can do so much better. Recent hires ease weigh in on this.

Today, they chose me to be "door monitor." This means I have to count customers as they leave and enter our store. We have a 75-80 limit count allowed. Once it hits its max, you are supposed to have tur customers stand in line and wait until the next customer(s) leave the store for them to go in. It's suppos...

is an embarrassment. what a terrible, backwards policy. while other stores including walmart are limiting numbers to 50 at a time, Kroger is allowing only 475 customers in to my store at once. because they value our health. lol. this company is a joke, everything they do is weeks behind and i feel lik...

The new district 2 manager is literally making people quit left and right. This week alone half a dozen department heads have stepped down. He claims we are all easily replaceable and all lazy pieces of ****. Meanwhile no one is replaceable because every department is upwards to 200 hours short with...

I don't know about you guys, but I would definitely advise you to take the mask-wearing, handwashing and social distancing SERIOUSLY, especially over the next couple of weeks, if not more! I'm saying this because our store just lost it's first casualty to COVID-19...One of our baggers, an older gen...

It's so freaking busy at my store because of the pandemic that a lot of us are doing well over eight hours a day either in our own departments or a combination of being in our own departments and helping out other departments that are drowning. Something I've noticed and others have too is if we try and clo...
