Trying to fill out an unemployment form online. "Total weekly work hours" I laughed. I'm putting 20. But, next : "Hours you worked" From [ ] : [ ] *AM * PM To [ ] : [ ] *AM *PM Other [ ] Because Kroger ALWAYS provides stable hours. *sighs*

Hey!I've been working at a Kroger store since 2008 as a "courtesy clerk," a very fancy name for a bagger.I've just been hired for two other jobs that fit the degree that I've worked so hard for at a 4-year university. In the coming months, I'll be working the majority of my day with either of th...

Seriously, why? All the other days of the week in the deli we seem to have a full staff, but on Sunday, our store's busiest day in the deli...we're lucky to have 3 people for opening and they don't schedule anyone else until 2. Sometimes the assistant head of the deli is there but more often than not they'r...

A guy in the area regularly comes through the express lane or a self checkout and buys either one or two gift cards of $100 each. If he buys two cards, he will do two transactions. Otherwise, he'll just stick with the one. Now, when someone spends $100+ on gift cards in one purchase, it will ask for us to c...

I'm a part-time cashier, and some weeks I'll be scheduled for 25-30 hours, but other weeks start off with 17 or 20. One week, I had 20 but covered someone's shift and accepted call-in requests/stay-late offers and wound up with 30 instead. At my store every worker must be given 12 hours unless the worke...
