I am moving to a different town bout 20 miles away. i have been with krogers for over a year and im CAO certified, Can work nightstock, dairy, frozen and grocery. i am a good worker. management and all the heads will agree with that.
How would i go about transferring properly to another krogers? i am treated like **** usually but i know they dont wanna loose me so i could see them jsut telling me that it didnt go threw or something. any suggestions on a gauranteed transfer?
Ask for the proper paper work. First find the store you want and make sure they have a opening. Go talk to that Store Manager and let them know what you want to do. This just give them a headsup. Fill out the paperwork, then hand it in(make copies and date it). See if you can get the store you want to go to to give the store your working at call. Stay on them.Main office Human Resources also has a number to call to follow up and make sure your store your in presently sent it in. They will call the store you want to transfer to and check to see if the opening exists.
Be sure to tell them your wanting a transfer DUE TO MOVING......and need a closer store
Stay on them, take care of your own business and follow up. Make sure to stay up to date with the person in your present store that does the hiring and interviews. Make contact with the person in the store you want to go to that handles the Hiring and Interviews.
Keep in mind these people can't keep hours or payroll straight, they care NOTHING about your business so you'll have to take care of "Your Business" yourself. Don't rely on them to do it all just for you. Makes copies,date it and keep it for records. These people are incompetant alot of times.
I just transfered to a new Kroger store b/c i have moved and it is kind of a pain, like when i first started working at the new store my badge number didnt work and then i got deleted from the whole kroger computer system for about a week, and then my paycheck was going to my old store, which made it more difficult to get paid b/c i had to drive back and fourth, but as oldtoys said you have to be on top of the mgmt. from both stores and it will be an easier transfer
