Yep, welcome to the World Of Free Rides. Look at the bright side, Mississippi should have a Food Stamp on its state flag. Ever seen someone buy $100 worth of food then go get in a Caddy? Or have to shuffle through their Casino Cards to find their Medicaid Card and then have about 4-6, one for each child?
Same here in Indianapolis stores. I have seen a customer buy at least 12-15 12 packs of BiG K Soda's with a EBT foodstamp card. We even have some food stamp customers who get cash of their cards at the checkout and then turn around and buy cigarettes and alcohol. I don't get mad about it though, but it is depressing.
I know what you mean. The first week of the month is a nightmare at my store because everyone gets their wic and foodstamps at the same time. These women will come in and buy like 700 dollars worth of steak and shrimp at a time and pull their ebt card out of a coach purse then drive off in a cadillac suv. When you look at the bottom of their reciept it says they still have 600 dollars left on their ebt card. They are always dressed nice too with their hair all done up. Its ridiculous
