Okay... So, because I switched schools before spring semester (from some small school to UGA), I ended up having to quit at Kroger. And even though I was an hour away at this point, I still worked there for an extra month in order to reassure I receive my tuition reimbursement from last semester. Well- I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT. I've called my store manager three times in the last several months, and he finally said I was denied! He never said why?!/ I enjoyed who I worked with, however, and just today was rehired. After doing the drug test, I was told my new hourly wage would be $6.65/hour. Are you kidding me?! That's a dollar less than what I was making before. They told me because I left for more than three months that I lost my experience. I was gone for three months and four days!!! This is absurd! Has Kroger ever ripped anyone else off like this?
Kind of. I went from making 14.20 in Cali to making 9.70 starting wage in TN. But the actual starting wage was 8.25. They took into account the 7 years experience I had within the company. They COULD have given you your old rate, but your boss obviously doesn't like you that much. Though i was only gone about 2 months.
