Hey Kroger,

My name is John, and I hate every single one of you. All of you are fat, retarded, no-lifes who spend every second of their day looking at stupid ass pictures. You are everything bad in the world. Honestly, have any of you ever gotten any pussy? I mean, I guess it's fun making fun of people because of your own insecurities, but you all take to a whole new level. This is even worse than jerking off to pictures on facebook.

Don't be a stranger. Just hit me with your best shot. I'm pretty much perfect. I was captain of the football team, and starter on my basketball team. What sports do you play, other than "jack off to naked drawn Japanese people"? I also get straight A's, and have a banging hot girlfriend (She just blew me; **** was SO cash). You are all faggots who should just kill yourselves. Thanks for listening.

and we wonder why the prices keep going up and our pay doesn't....your lack of morals appalls me almost as much as your attitude. you should be ashamed of yourself, but instead, you are bragging about being a thief. a petty, little thief who steals from the people who pay you. you are costing your company money, which affects our ability to get raises. thanks a lot.

When I was 12 I had my first sexual experience. At the time, I lived in a little suburb outside of Cleveland and anyway, the girl next door and I were really good friends. Our parents were both gone for the day and she was over playing Transformers with me. So anyway, we kinda got.. Bored I guess? And we started playing truth or dare, which turned into 'you show me yours, I'll show you mine". So anyway there I Was, 12 years old, heart pounding, blood rushing in my ears, and the chick (who was a year older than me actually) takes off her panties and hikes her little skirt up. So What did I do, you ask? I whistled for a cab, and when it came near, the license plate said "fresh" and there were dice in the mirror. If anything I could say that this cab was rare, but I thought "naw forget it, yo home to bel-air!" I pulled up to the house about seven or eight and I yelled to the cabbie "yo homes smell ya later!" Looked at my kingdom, I was finally there. To settle my throne as the prince of bel-air.

So you steal because Kroger doesn't pay you enough? Who said Kroger is responsible for your bills. They pay you for the work you do. If its not enough for you, do what the rest of us have done and find another (second) job or a better one and take your petty, thieving a** out the door.
When you steal, Kroger has to take money they could use for raises, better benefits, new equipment, store remodels, etc that would make our jobs better/easier and use it to cover the cost of your petty little thievery. You help yourself in the (very) short term, but cost the rest of us and our families part of our future. You not only steal from your employer, but from your co-workers and friends that share the load with you.
My your family must be so proud...

two things sew you have no respect for noone you give peter pan advice and i am not looking for approval. i do what i have to do. as for file guy. ever hear of insurance. i see customers steal all the time. i think i deserve more. i also mostly steal stuff now that is ready to be tossed. think about that. is it the shoplifting or the tossing of items in the dumpster. there is no future for kroger employees just 59.5 and with all that hard work you did you will enjoy 6 years of it and die. i want the world i wanted NOW.

you are quite correct, i 'have no respect for noone' as that is a double negative which means that i do have respect for some people. but i certainly do not respect thieves.

peter pan advises to behave like a child and never grow up...never act responsibly or maturely. i would say that your stealing and then bragging is peter pan behavior. my advice is to grow up, take responsibility for yourself, your actions and your spending habits. just because you want something does not give you the right to take it. you have to pay for it and in order to pay for it, you have work to earn the money.

do you  have a car? what would you think if someone stole your car? hey, they wanted it, and they wanted it NOW, so why not? and what the heck, you have insurance, so who cares, right? what a putz.

it wasn't your typing i was going after, but your grammar skills.

i love how you assume to know everything about me. i have worked for kroger for about a year. before that i was a stay at home mom for 14 years.

i am not a lifer. but i do believe in doing my job and doing it to the best of my ability. i have no respect for people who apply for a job, get hired and accept the responsibility of that job and then do everything they can to get out of doing their job. nor do i respect people who steal from their job. whether they care to believe it or not, employee stealing causes everyone harm...and not just financially. there are people out there desperately looking for jobs and it is an absolute shame that their families starve while people who have jobs are lazy and irresponsible and dishonest.

i am raising my kids to work hard and to accept the responsibility of the tasks given to them, including school work, household chores, etc. i am saving money for their college so that they don't end up like me...40 years old and working hard at a job they don't like in order to provide for their own children.

but kroger is not my life-long goal. i have plans and am working towards them too. kroger is a means to an end...but while i am there, i will do my best in everything i am tasked and i expect the same from everyone else.

so which is it...are you a thief or liar? either way, you haven't given us much to admire in your character.

i came to this forum hoping to find some constructive and productive discussion about kroger from other employees so that i  could get a better understanding of how kroger works. what i have discovered is that kroger is poorly run from the management down and poorly serviced from the employees up. perhaps you think i should use foul language and encourage laziness, irresponsibility and general bad attitudes like the majority of the people posting here. or, maybe, you think i should be like that oh so charming imbecile who keeps posting disgusting and juvenile sexual trash. sorry to disappoint you, but i've not read much here that 'opens my eyes' to anything other than the fact that the majority of the people who post here are not people i want to work with.

if i had another choice, i would not work for kroger and, hopefully, i will be able to move on as i continue to pursue my goals. but for now, the hours work for my family situation and the pay is helping us get out debt and pad my kids' college funds. i will continue to do my personal best and encourage those who work with me and those who post here to do their best.

Amen to that last post.  As you've probably found out by now, all Kroger employees aren't juveniles or trash that couldn't do any better than a grocery job. Most of us are just like you. Thanks for the good posts.

oh, FileGuy, i like the vast majority of the people in my store. i have been so disappointed by the general attitudes floating around here. thank you for your kind words and your level head! while i am not in love with my job at Kroger, i do like the people i work with and that makes the job a lot nicer.

i wish there were a real Kroger forum where we could discuss issues at work...someplace with a moderator to keep all the trash talk down and the imbeciles from posting such nasty stuff.

thank you two for being real and nice. and to the jerks who make fun of us because we work at grocery store, not all of us are lazy or theifs. sometimes we just want to earn money which is not a crime like stealing or harrassment. we looked for jobs we picked kroger. we will always have rotten apples at our stores but that does not  change the fact we are good people and we work at kroger becasue we want to. it is not a job for just teenagers, they cant work early mornings during the week they dont nessecarily have the best manners which are important in the high ranking positions, they cant work long hours or into the late night. So, my point is its not a teenagers job. alot of teenagers do work their for experience and spending money so what, we at least are comtempt with our jobs. go work else where and stop attacking hard working people

i think the vast majority of the people who work for kroger are honest and hard working. i agree, there are a few bad apples, but they are in every job out there, even the high paying white collar world. while i don't love kroger, i do enjoy the people i work with and our customers (except for the crazy ones). i wish kroger were a better run company...but i am grateful to be able to be home with my kids during the summer and still have 40 hours of work each week.

i think kroger is a great place for teens to start working. there are expectations and the work is hard enough to make you feel proud, but not so hard that you have no life outside of work. and, if the teens actually pay attention to what is going on around them, kroger is a great place to learn how to work as part of a team and gain valuable experience for future jobs.

it is also a great place to work if you are changing career fields and need to go to school or whatever...of if you just need a little bit more money coming in the door, but you don't want a 'career'. you can usually get hours to work around a school or family schedule and still earn okay money. no, it's not the highest paying job around....but then again, you don't need experience or education to start at kroger, just a willingness to do the job.

i do not think i would want to make kroger a career...simply because i am the kind of person who constantly pushes to do more and at kroger, that means working towards management. i see what they have to deal with and it is not something that i want to do. the hours are horrible (12 hour shifts 5 to 6 days a week), unreasonable and inconsistent expectations from corporate, constant customer complaints and a work force that feels unappreciated, underpaid and stressed out....i feel sorry for the store level management because they do not have any authority but have all of the responsibility. it is an unpleasant job, full of stress with very little reward.

Thanks so much for saying all those nice, wise things, sewphisticate. I'm 15 and have only been working at Kroger for about half a year but I really do see how unaprecciated some of the managers at Kroger are and how the other teenage workers around me hate working there so much, which is weird considering they chose that job and everything. It seems like the only conversation people make with each other is what time they get off work and how jealous they are if it's an earlier time than theirs.
I try to maintain a good attitude, but when everyone else has a bad one about being there, it's hard not to follow with the group. Have any ideas of good motivation?? Thanks so much for your awesome spirit! I can tell you are one of the few truly honest-to-yourself people that I respect.

Honestly, the best way to motivate people and make a difference is to be different (in a GOOD way!). If you come in every day, do your job with a smile on your face, be friendly to your customers, make sure you do every task you are assigned to the best of your ability, then you will shine and you will be noticed. Those employees who complain, slack off on their work, or try to get out of doing their work will not appreciate your efforts and you will probably be called lovely names like 'suck up'...but that is their problem not yours. It can be difficult to be the one to make a difference, but in the end, it is your opinion of yourself that you have to live with. What others think of you, especially people you are not going to spend the rest of your life with, just doesn't matter...it really, truly does not. And you know what, maybe by being the one to do the right thing, you will help encourage someone else to do it too. You are probably not the only one who has found it easier to go along with the complaining. People who are kind, friendly and energetic draw other people to them...and get noticed.

In our store, it took about 3 months to get rid of all the slackers on the front end and they did it to themselves. We got a new Co-Manager who is very involved in the front end and he started cutting hours on all the people who didn't do their work and increasing the hours for all the ones who did. Now we have a front end crew that wants to work and we are building a bit of friendly competition to improve our store. It is really starting to show because our customers are saying how different the store is now...friendly and clean and a nice place to shop.

If you find yourself really wanting to do a better job, then talk to your front end manager about it. They want their front end to really run well, so that they can do their job and not babysit. I promise you that if you go to your FE manager and ask them what you can do better, he/she will help you...but you have to be willing to listen. I mean, if he/she says 'you know what you're supposed to be doing, just do it' that really translates into 'I know I have told you what you need to be doing, why aren't you doing it?'....but if you honestly don't know, or are unsure, then let them know! Don't be shy about asking for direction or help. Think of it as a class in school....ask a ton of questions, listen to the answers, make notes if you need to in order to remember (I have to write everything down) and just do your best....and smile! Even when you are tired, irritated, upset, whatever...smile! Talk about your issues off the floor with your supervisor or your manager...but not with your co-workers or customers on the floor! (Um...I sort of assumed you were working Front End...but this applies to every department.)

to compare the horrific slaughter of columbine to this forum is ridiculous. my brother worked in the emergency room when the victims were brought in. don't trivialize the horrors of that event..telling a thief he is wrong, is not at all the same as going into a high school and shooting kids.

Kroger is where i work and i want it to be a nice place for the employees as well as the customers. i want to get pay raises and have good benefits. stealing cuts into the financial security of the company as a whole and affects all of us who work there. to come into a Kroger employee forum and brag about stealing from the company that pays us is an open invitation for rebuttal. the only person who used aggressive and nasty language was the thief guy (i assume...though who know for sure as all the foul language comments were posted by 'anonymous').  what a surprise s/he must have had to discover that stealing is thought of as wrong, even by people who work hard and don't get paid huge salaries.

good luck on your term paper.

What a crock of crap. Nobody is ganging up on anybody. If you post on an open board you have to expect that not everyone is going to agree with you. They have a right to post their opinions too.
What's this about low pay? Just what are your expectations for pay in a grocery store? Get real.
Retail work is not the same as doing engineering or nuclear science. You shouldn't expect to make huge amounts doing this kind of work. That said, I make very good money for what I do. With a little OT I make as much as some of my more educated family members and I have 1/10 the stress they do. I've built up several weeks of vacation, pay minimal amount for good health benefits, and have options for advancement should I choose to pursue them.
But then again, that's me. I come to work to work. Not to socialize, date, steal, or relive high school. I am a professional and my managers know they can count on me and my department to handle our job. I don't suck up or kiss a**, I just get the job done and take care of the customers.
Since we live in a capitalist country, I am rewarded for my efforts. The people I see at work that speak like some on this board speak are the ones that think they are doing Kroger a favor by showing up. They want a check without any effort. Just show up, hang out with their friends, take breaks, and go through the motions of work without really getting anything done. They weigh the rest of us down and make us look bad, so yes when I see or read about someone stealing, wasting time, or complaining instead of getting in gear and doing what they're paid for...I will speak up. And so will others, after all...its an open board.
Feel free to "gang up" on me now. Unlike these anonymous posters, I can take it.

file guy just because you have been at your store for a while and do a good job, it still does not give you the right to make judgements on anyone. if a shoplifter takes something and you see him you still have to wait till he leaves the store. if you are that great then lead by example.  thanks all L RON SARGENT.
