Lost mine a month ago. As a PT I was entitled to Plan B for myself but because they cut hours Christmas,New Years, Easter and every other holiday between the beginning of the year and now I couldn't keep the 22.5 hour average over a 12 week span. By the time I found out it was too late. What even makes me more mad was we sold alot and I mean alot of groceries during those holidays. Never have I seen a food business cut labor out during the busiest times of the year. Now Thanksgiving and Christmas is looming on the horizon, we're down 2 FT men that quit or is out. Think they'll hire replacements or toss that load on the remaining and cut some hours.?

Most contracts are country wide normal:

60 hrs mo for singles. 20 hrs for single a week totaling 60 hrs a month. like one 8 hr shift a week bare minimum. Not difficult to get.

80 hrs mo for families. Like 16 hrs a week minimum. Not difficult to get or 20 hrs a week. 25 if you want to be safe.

I really don't know where the hell you're getting to employees getting their insurance cut. This is kiaser and it's nation wide not state!

The only people I know getting their insurance cut are those with super heavy scheduling restrictions thus limiting their hrs to select shifts in their department.

YOUR INFO IS BOGUS! Don't believe this spam post!

You're posting bogus info please stop! I see why this thread got stripped off redit fast.

60 hrs mo for single

80 hr mo for family

It really isn't that difficult to get enough hrs for insurance. Only people I know who are having it cut are generally those with super heavy restrictions.

I need my insurance. I work for it, so therefore I will get it. I'm just taking what is mine. The hours I give myself, I work.

Hint: YOU should NEVER assume ANYTHING.

It makes an a.s.s. out of....YOU (not me)

The great shady shell game. We're hiring! Go to the web site (chumps) and give us loads of personal information while we give you noting. We will need a couple of emails from you so we can give your isp a thorough hacking. Then come to the office and a manager will play cop with you and you can maybe find out we can maybe get you on for part time right now.

Please don't apply. This company sucks.

One single greasy gritty scraped up parking lot dime the union found in the street... plus minimum wage.

Part time only.  According to seniority.

Walmart goes out of their way to help employees obtain government benefits.

Rodney refuses to, so he only hires employees so dumb they can't.  How else he afford a new teak deck for his Spring Yacht?  How else could he afford a teak dock for his Spring Mansion?  His Spring Mansion is made out of solid teak.  The shareholders don't even spend more than a billion or two dollars on stock buybacks.

You dirty commie.

How dare you.

Sweet necro.

It's not uncommon for employees to burn vacation, sick time, and PTO just to keep health insurance.  That's the only reason many employees work here, as it's sure not for the pay, hours, or scheduling..  Thanks, UFCW.  The hard part is achieving few enough hours to retain government benefits at the same time.

It sounds like a bad time, but think about the needs of the shareholders.  Think about Rodney.

I'm pawning things and donating plasma to make rent.

I just hope Rodney is doing ok.

The poster who is saying youre a thief is correct. Youre stealing time. Youre not entitled to anything. Youll get caught and lose everything. Kroger employees are just downright dishonest thieving people.

Funny thing is, I'm actually working. Stealing time is when you clock in to work and then hide in the bathroom or receiving area on the phone texting or doing other non productive things. Working is NOT theft of time. It IS theft when they TRY to shorten my hours and I have no insurance.

It is NOT theft when I take back those hours by working to keep my insurance.

Wow!!! So if the government or bank decides to freeze your account for whatever reason, it gives you the right to hack into the system and take what was frozen? Nope.

I know it's not the same thing but it is similar. You are choosing to work unauthorized hours. If you are a union store then they normally work you the bare minimum to follow union guidelines. If you keep working hours that were "taken" then they may decide to give you a permanent vacation. Thief.

Go ahead and reply keyboard warrior, my opinion still stands.

This is factually correct. There are no hours to give so you are stealing hours you were not assigned! kroger is very adamant on keeping track of those hours the store is allowed. They will end up seeing eventually why they are over and come looking for you and who ever else. Youre not entitled to anything. You are on fact a thief!

A dime over minimum wage.  Part time only.  You better watch out, or else you'd get a regular schedule at higher pay at Walmart or McDonald's or something.

What do you care?  Uncle Sam pays more of my wage than Uncle Rodney.

You aren't accusing Uncle Rodney of stealing from Uncle Sam, are you?
