Well the title pretty much sums it all up. I was hired before the min. wage increase took effect in July, making 6.55/hr. At a full 40 hours I was bringing home roughly 250-260 per week. Now that I am making 7.25/hr I should be bring home 280-290 per week, but I am still bringing home what I did at 6.55/hr.
I thought it was just me and I mentioned it to a guy I work with who also was making 6.55/hr and he got instantly pissed off and said "You noticed that also! I'm bringing home less than I did at 6.55/hr!"
So, anyone else get a raise and earning less on your paycheck?
My only advice to visit HR and see if there's any changes in how much taxes are being taken out. I had a co-worker who was making more then me, a few more hours then me - yet I was still bringing in more money. Turned out it was because there was just more taxes being taken out. Which at the beggining of the year because of that he would get a bigger tax check.
I'd suggest speaking to your Technology Manager if thats your case maybe he/she can walk you through the steps to change it.
